Didn't Apple just release iOS 17.5? I could be wrong, but I have the notion lately that Apple seems to try and coordinate the release an updated to macOS and iOS around the same time. Could be wrong... but I do hope the official Sonoma 14.5 release is coming soon. That said, Sonoma 14.5 Beta 5 has felt as stable as any release version.

Not quite yet... "Coming Soon"... Sounds like it could be out this week...

Good to hear Sonoma 14.5 is stable. Hopefully it's not far behind iOS 17.5.

macOS, iOS and iPadOS releases can lag up to a month but they eventually sync up.

NI has some suggestions and there's an experimental build of Kontakt available on request. Read about it here.

https://community.native-instruments.co ... ent_152440

I have commented on their monitor suggestions, all of which I tried and none of which worked for me. Since K7 is working over 14.5 beta 4, I will not be looking at this experimental build.

macOS 14.5 beta RC (release candidate) dropped a few hours ago as did Kontakt 7.10.2. I'll be looking at the Kontakt update later this evening but will stay put with 14.5 beta 4.

The RC is usually the same as the general release unless beta testers find a major bug.

No... pretty sure this is the official release. Toggle your software update between showing betas or not and see if it shows it then.

Nope.

Enabled beta updates... Saw 14.5 there... Switched it off... No update available.

Well... maybe it's RC1. It didn't say RC1 anywhere when I downloaded it. Where does it indicate RC1?

It showed up in my beta feed. Many sites had similar announcements to this yesterday.

https://appleinsider.com/articles/24/05 ... in-one-day

I turned off beta in Software updates yesterday and it's still saying that I have beta 4. I hadn't seen the 14.5 release as being available yet.

I then turned beta back on, downloaded the latest, turned beta off and it now shows this: 23F79 is the RC mentioned in the article.

I see that Sonoma 14.5 (23F79) is both the RC and the Final Public Release.

I thought the final release would be different but it is indeed the same, even if you opt out of Public Beta.

You already got it.

Sonoma 14.5 appears to have solved my issue with NI stuff on M3max. Kotakt 7 and guitar rig pro 7 open and make sound without crashing. Haven't tested extensively, but here's hoping. I have been having other issues with things randomly disconnecting from my Kensington Thunderbolt 4 dock (SD 5700T), in particular the ethernet connection which is obnoxious. Had no problems with my previous M1max computer...so not sure what the deal is here, hardware, or software. But at least I can open NI software inside DP again. That's a win. What a brutal bug that was.
