I wish that there was a way to make it so that when you make new tracks that the colors on adjacent tracks can default to be a large contrast rather than the subtle change between a few colors. Yes you can manually set track colors to different contrasting colors but that is a PITA.
For example, when I am editing audio it is annoying that the default setting makes new audio tracks very slightly different shades of color. I would love it if there was a way to make it so every other track was much darker/lighter or a totally different color so its easy to discern between tracks. WITHOUT having to do it manually. Like in a spreadsheet where one row is light and the next row is dark, so you can easily scan across and know which track you're working with.
Color Scheme - Default gradient between colors isn't good

DP Preferences>Display>Track Colors>Edit Color Schemes gives you some high contrast options.

I am aware of that option, but what I mean by contrast is the difference between one track color to the next. It defaults to smooth gradients, the best option I had was to make my own color scheme where each row has very different colors from one end to another, but that still makes it so when you create lets say five tracks, that each one is just slightly different than the one above or below it. While I know you can manually edit the color of each track, it would be great if there was a way to have it so the default is that each track comes up as the vertical row of the next color, rather than a slightly different color, or even better to have each track be shaded differently than the previous track.

It would be a cool feature. I suggest sending it in.
