Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
Thank you, Stoivo; I suspected as much, which is why I pointed out that it behaved this way last week too.
I should have thanked you mate. Sorry, and thank you!

My pleasure, Mr. m.monkey man wrote:Agreed; I was surprised the first one was only available at 720p, so it's perplexing why it hasn't been upped yet 'cause I'd have thought feedback would've been provided by now...
Thank you for the heads-up, Bill.
I too was surprised by the 720p max. Lo-fi isn't a good look for such a gorgeous DAW. Makes the vids look dated. I've gotten pretty good with CTRL-scroll as a result, though.

Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
Is 720p resolution a Zoom limitation? Or a Zoom limitation on the recording?

Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
The Zoom site says it can do 2304 x 1296 pixels at 30fps. Of course this takes bandwidth and maybe that has to conform to a lowest common denominator. The 720 screen is not a visual treat, but I think most of us can figure out what Matt is doing at 720. Is it really a problem?

Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
I certainly wasn't being critical of the excellent job Matt is doing in his demos. I've only seen the first two thus far, and have gotten lots of good stuff out of them already. I just wish I wasn't feeling like I'd spent an hour and a half working in DP with my glasses all smudged up. ![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

I got a few minutes in, but will have to check out the rest later. But man, what a great start:toofar wrote:Hey all. Looks like another webinar video has gone up. "Tools for the pros". Watched the first half-hour so far and it's gone over tools in the tool panel one by one.

I really wish they were higher resolution though. Pretty tough to read on-screen text at all.

Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
This collection is gonna be quite a great resource once rolled out, for sure. I'm sorta glad they're not all available at once. I wouldn't get anything else done!Tritonemusic wrote:I got a few minutes in, but will have to check out the rest later. But man, what a great start:

And just like that, the next in the series is up and ready.

I just noticed that there's an annotated (and linked!) sub-topic timeline in the description on YT. I don't know if they're present in the previous videos, but this is a huge bonus that's much appreciated. Thanks Matt!

Re: MOTU DP 10 Webinars
I guess this is the default follow-up thread for the MOTU webinars....
Among other things Friday's webinar discussed zoom settings. I missed (spaced out) what was said about the Default Zoom setting, and the manual isn't clear. What does Default Zoom do? It seems to just zoom to a random level when I select it.

I'd assume that the "random level" is whatever you've last used, Tomás.dix wrote:What does Default Zoom do? It seems to just zoom to a random level when I select it.
