Can you run an UltraLite as multi-client ASIO under Win10?
Hello,
I've been trying to run my UltraLite mk3 as a multi-client ASIO device under Windows 10 with Max and Reaper simultaneously. However I can't run with this configuration without clicks and pops.
Has anyone succeeeded with such a configuration and could give advice on how to proceeed?
Thank you for helping.

Strange that a software's name has been censored. The missing letters are e, a, p, e and r.

That is curious that it runs but produces clicks and pops. That generally comes from using multiple sample rate settings in the different programs.
I am using an Ultralite mk3 hybrid in Firewire mode (works the same in USB mode) with DP, Cantabile 3, MidiQuest and Voicemeeter virtual ASIO all running at the same time with no pops or clicks.
Look in your device manager and see if you have "MOTU Audio Wave for 64 bit" enabled, and if you do, try disabling it (not uninstalling, disabling). That is the windows driver for Windows Audio and it is very temperamental when it receives differing sample rates. I use Voicemeeter as its replacement to send Windows audio to the Ultralite as it has stable sample rate conversions built in, which that driver above does not.
Also, if you leave that running, make sure all of the device ports have the same sample rates as your DP and Grim settings under the "Advanced" tab. And be sure to uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" and "Give exclusive mode applications priority" if trying to use it. As I said, I typically just disable it and use Voicemeeter as the go-between instead.

[EDIT: Just noticed you never mention using DP at all... so you can ignore the following.]
Also, I was just reminded of a setting you can try mentioned in this post:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=63465#p545031
Try that change in DP's Setup/Configure Audio System/Configure Studio Settings dialog from 128 to 500 to see if it helps.

Thank you for your help.
I see that you are using Voicemeeter which I was also considering to use.

Yes - that Voicemeeter program is a great help. If you go that route and encounter any problems, PM me for help with it or start another thread on using the Ultralite with Voicemeeter. If you check my SIG it has my YouTube channel there which contains many Voicemeeter how-to videos, several which are staples on the Voicemeeter site itself.amundsen wrote:Thank you for your help.
