Using .WAV files with Machfive

Post by csharp35 »

Hi,

I have a ton of wav files that I use to use with intakt. I have copied the wav files to my mac and want to use them with machfive. I was able to add the .M5b to my folder and when I rescaned the mach five folder it listed all the folders with wav files, but there were no presets to load. Is this the best way to use the wav files?I have so many files that I don't want to have to load each one manually. Is there another way to organize these better? For instance, say I have a folder of a drum kit...what's the best way to load the entire kit at the same time? Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Hello

If you look at the way the tutorial sounds are set up, you will see that .m5b is the extension for the soundbank. The presets are actually inside thes soundbanks within their own folder with m5p extensions. If you do not have these presets, that is why you would not see them in the Mach five ..
