I hope this doesn't create a double post. I am trying to move this from the Unisyn board as I suspect the root problem is with the Apple system software.
I recently upgraded to OS 10.4.9 DP 5.11 runs great. I am finally getting back to my hardware synths and having trouble with my unisyn installation. About 2/3rds of the way through an error comes up
"1008:5,-5000 access denied error".
This sounds like a mac permissions problem, so I ran disk utility and fixed permissions with the same result. So then I connected my back up hard drive from system 3.9 and copied the unisyn folder over. Now I can start Unisyn but I can't get past the authorization window. I enter my name and the key-code from the manual. I click OK button and the authorization window returns with blank fields. Finally I started up in 10.3.9 and verified that unisyn runs fine in that system. Does anyone have any thoughts about what to try next?

I added a new drive to a G4 dual mirror door and installed 10.4.8 now 10.4.9 so that I could upgrade to DP5.11. I have Unisyn installed and running on the the 10.3.9 hard drive, but having moved most programs to the new drive I was wanting to erase the old drive and use it for other purposes. I don't seem to be able to install unisyn directly onto the new drive from the install CD because of the access denied error? If I drag Unisyn over to the new drive it asks for the authorization code but won't accept it. I haven't erased the old drive yet so I still have access to unisyn, but this is now the only program that prevents me from completely making the move.

Unisyn 2.1.1
I posted on the unisyn board first, but because the permission to install denied error sounded like a mac os permissions related problem I posted here on the mac site as well. Glad to hear that it should work.

Re: install error ???
Same problem here. We got a brand new version of Unisyn donated for our handicapped nonprofit org by the german Distributor KLEMM-Music. System is latest MacOS 10.6.3. when launching the program ist asks for the installer CD, when I put it in and fill in the key, the dialogue disappears, but comes back immediately empty. I've read all support docs, repaired permissions, tried to install and auhorize as root user, all without success. KLEMM couldn't help. Did anybody make an successful Uniysn installation on Snow Leopard? So please help...
TIA!
