UVI Workstation

Hi,

Everybody should have notice performance problem with MOTU Symphonic Instrument by now(High CPU usage and CPU spikes causing host instability(crashes, crackle, ...)) which make it pretty hard to use in large project. Well these problems are due to the UVI engine audio and graphic engine. They will probably never get fix in the UI we all know now, however Ultimate Soundbank are developing a new engine base on the old one which try to address both issues and so far it looks pretty promising and have all the same features.

The UVI developers said that it is possible that they add support for the .dat file of MOTU SI instruments which will enable us to start using them in an universal and more stable engine which will befinits of constant updates.

My goal here is to ask everybody having issues with Symphonic Instruments, and I'm sure a lot are, to ask MOTU support to get UVI Worsktation to support the sound/patches bank of SI in this new host so we can start using what we pay for.

BTW this is also true for all MOTU instruments(Mach V 2, Ethno, ...), they are all using the same engine having the same problems.
