Re: DP 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7
For me the less VSTs I have in my VST folders the faster my load times. I do keep a few VST-only plugins in there now - right now I have maybe 10 VSTs in the folders (compared to many dozens in my AU) and they only take a second or two to load. Curious: does disabling VSTs in DP accomplish the same...

Re: DP 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7
Upon upgrading to Ventura I too experienced long load times. I tried everything under the sun, including the suggestions above, to fix it. I even called Apple support. The problem for me was loading VST and VST3 plugins on launch. AUs load normally and quickly, but loading all my VST/3s can take ov...

Re: DP 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7
As far as I recall, I rebuilt com.motu.MotuAudioSystem on June 21 2024, but loading times are always the same. Again, under suggestion of MotU tech support, I did an attempt to load DP11.32 in safe mode, but again, loading times are the same. https://mega.nz/file/nHgxFARA#654baiuybQfMLfRcJqTw_adh5GE...

Re: DP 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7
Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my late one. I was on holiday in Otranto, Apulia - Italy for a week... Before my journey started, I opened a ticket at MotU and with their help we're trying to troubleshoot the issue. Now I'm back home, I can dig into Ventura and DP again. The first suggestion te...

Re: Steinberg PADSHOP and GROOVE AGENT crashes my DP 11 - RESOLVED (MediaBay updated)
By the way, I upgraded Cubase 13 pro to the latest version and, as usual, Steinberg Download manager updated also Media Bay... Thus, I checked whether Groove Agent would crash again DP 11.32 but, to my amazement, now the virtual instrument is loaded fine... Perhaps, Steinberg did sometihing to fix it.

Digital Performer 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7
I'm writing to show all my astonishment about DP 11.32 loading times under Ventura 13.6.7. It takes one minute and seven seconds... Gasp! My 16' 2019 i9 32GB MacBookPro was quite fast when last year run Catalina and Monterey but after having upgraded to Ventura it became very slow on loading certain...

Re: Steinberg PADSHOP and GROOVE AGENT crashes my DP 11
Thanks a lot James, Your advice to deinstall MediaBay solved the issue. Now Groove Agent 5.x runs and doesn't crash DP11. If Steinberg Download Assistant installs Media Bay again, I'll deinstall it. Just an update. After you run MediaBay Uninstaller.app , the next time you launch Steinberg Download...

Re: Steinberg PADSHOP and GROOVE AGENT crashes my DP 11
Well an update. I was doing okay with the Steinberg stuff when I was on Sonoma 14.4.1... I went to 14.5 Public Beta a few days ago hoping to solve another issue, and now all my Steinberg AU plugs are major crash puppies in DP 11.31. Bummer. They are okay in Logic. Running Grove Agent 5.2 under Vent...

Re: Steinberg PADSHOP and GROOVE AGENT crashes my DP 11
On my MB Air Sonoma 14.4, Halion 7.0.20 still crashes DP 11.31 instantly when creating an instrument track either mono or stereo. Well an update. Re: Groove Agent 5.2 crashes DP 11.31
Thanks for your reply. I already dropped a line to Steinberg,,, hoping they’ll do something. The issue persists also under Ventura. With Cubase 13, everything goes smooth and I’m quite disappointed for that, I don’t like Cubase as much as DP. [EDIT] I did a further experiment with eLicenser connecte...

Groove Agent 5.2 crashes DP 11.31
Under Ventura, create a new instrument track, select Groove Agent... DP 11.31 crashes.

Not sure if this is a coincidence, or if this is you on the other forum. If it's not you, then perhaps you'll find these threads useful. This is a user forum for Kurzweil, and the threads are about patchlists for K2700 & DP. https://forums.godlike.com.au/index.php?topic=7675.0 https://forums.go...

Re: Creating patchlists for newer or unsupported synthesizers
Glad to hear you could get it running. We could set up a little thread here to share patch-lists in the .midnam format for various hardware synths. The files are tiny, and easily attached to posts. People could post requests, and others who have that gear, and have either already created a patch li...

Re: Creating patchlists for newer or unsupported synthesizers
A small update, just to let the kind people participating this thread, This morning I powered up my faithful old hackintosh running Mojave and realised that CherryPicker runs very smoothly and it’s particularly collaborative. On the other hand, on my MacBook Pro i9 16”, running Monterey, there are n...

Re: Creating patchlists for newer or unsupported synthesizers
... existing .midnam files can be adapted to follow the correct format for DP to read. This. Just copy one for a "similar" synth (ROMpler or whatever), open it in Text Edit and see what you can do. HonestlyI find this suggestion completely not applicable, unless I want to go straight to a...
