Re: 828 upgrade Useful?
I originally bought the 828mk3 FW when I bought my G5 and the PCI-324 didnt fit anymore. Ive got a pretty nice PC, 5GHz CPU, 32GB RAM at 3200MHz and, as it turns out, the firewire pci card Ive got does a very nice job. When recording I can easily run up to 60 recorded tracks, Superior Drummer 3, Kon...

828 upgrade Useful?
I currently own a 828mk3 FW from, I believe 2008, over 10 years old, at least.
What would I gain when I would upgrade to the newest model? The 828mk3 Hybrid, that is. Is there a significant sound quality increase? More power/speed? Lower latency? Anything else?
Cheers!

Re: from channel output to channel input
Okay, thanks mate.
I notice I really have to get used to those aux channels as a multi-functional link. My mind is pretty set after using only Mixbus for several years.
Cheers!

from channel output to channel input
Ik new to DP and even though Im starting to find my way around, I keep getting stuck on routing between channels. Its quite common to route, say several kick channels into a sum channel, to further process it as a single track, but to save processing power, I use to bounce it to a new track and proc...

Re: Getting started tutorial

Getting started tutorial
Im trying the DP demo, Im completely new to DP and Im looking for a 'getting started' tutorial. I already looked on youtube and in the tutorial video section, but all I find are detailed tutorials for specific functions and what Im looking for is a guide about where to find everything, how basic fun...

Re: Mic/Instr inputs are connected direct to outputs
I already had been looking through the manual, but didnt really know what key-words to search for. On a second attempt, looking more focused for 'direct monitoring' I found several items that talk about direct monitoring, but non that explains how to turn it on or off... I did, however, find some ex...

Mic/Instr inputs are connected direct to outputs
Recently I've build a new PC for my music, but since I connected my MOTU 828mk3, which has been in use with my old Mac G5 before this, I'm having some routing problems. The mic/Instr inputs are connected direct to the monitoring outputs (analog jacks 1-2), so I'm not only hearing the monitoring soun...
