Re: single sample monophonic in a polyphonic part?

Make it the only member of the hi-hat group. Re: using built-in output

You can use the Mac's built-in I/O with DP, but not with AudioDesk. AD only comes as a bundled app with MOTU audio hardware, so you can only use MOTU hardware as the audio driver. DP is sold separately, so you can use whatever audio driver you want.

Re: Help with "the Strokes" sound

If you're using PreAmp-1, try using the "Dynamic" button in the compressor section for a different approach. This makes the Push level increase whenever the input signal crosses the compressor threshold, even when the compressor is bypassed. In a way, think of it as using the compressor as...

Soundflower < http://www.cycling74.com/products/soundflower.html > might also help you out here. Install Soundflower, then choose "Soundflower 2 channel" as your default output in Audio MIDI Setup. Then in DP, use Soundflower 2 channel as your hardware driver (shift-click to select it in a...

Re: Portable Keyboard MIDI Controller for MX4

I haven't tried the others so I can't really speak on those, but I'm a fan of the Remote25 keyboard -- just enough keys, right combination of faders & knobs, and a fairly straight forward template editor app. Haven't really run it through the ringers with MX4 in particular, but I've got no reaso...
