DIgital Performer and Studiolive 32r

Hello! Does anyone use Digital Performer with Presonus' Studiolive 32r mixer? Not one of the big boy mixers, but the rack mount version. I've searched the forum and could only find info on DP and the big Presonus mixers. I'm having a helluva time getting DP and the 32r to play nice, let alone talk t...

Songwriting and Social Media

Hey, everybody! Does anyone here know of a good tutorial or even a book that has some good information on utilizing social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to further one's songwriting career? About the only thing I'm on right now is Sound Cloud and Facebook. I've read that I need to get f...

I'm not sure if anybody mentioned these, but do they still make the 240DF's? I've got those and the 240M's. The DF's are very flat. They actually sound like there's not ENOUGH bass, but they are very flat. I've mixed on them with very good results. The 240M's sound great, but they've got a bit of a ...

Thanks, James. Yeah, I read too that the NS-10's like to see at least 300 watts total, if not more. So, what do you use to control your monitor listening levels? I think I read in another thread that you have a Presonus Central Station. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. I'm not using a mixer anymo...

NS-10 amp stupid questions...

I know, I know. There are no stupid questions...blah, blah, blah! :D And I DID do a search for the info, but to no avail. I'm using NS-10's with an old Kenwood amp which has finally crapped out on me. What kind of amp would you recommend for my NS-10's? Also, how does one set levels on a "pro&q...

Many's the time I've been mistaken, and many times confused. Yes, and I've often felt forsaken, and certainly misused... I work at a CBS affilliate and until recently I worked with an old Pentium III running Premiere. (Yuck) Hardly ever went smoothly. When it DID, and I said so out loud, I would get stuff thrown at me for "jinxing" it! :? I'm not saying that's gonna happen here, I'm just sayin'! Didn...

Hey, thanks for that. It reminded me of Starland Vocal Band's a-capella version of Paul Simon's American Tune -- the best thing they ever did. Maybe the only thing they ever did that was worth committing to vinyl. It was a wonderful rendition, and now I've got THAT going through my head instead of ...
