Re: sac 2.2--HELP!
Hit CONTROL and MASTER FADER SELECT (hold these) and you will get a menu where you can disable the feature where DPs mixer will follow the SAC.

Re: sac 2.2--HELP!
Do you have the same midichannel on the SAC as you have in the CONTROL SURFACE SETUP in DP?

What is the firmware version of the SAC? Needs to be 3.04 to run in oSX as far as I remember.

Re: apogee mini-me
I would recommend Metric Halo ULN-2 (firewire). Better micpres, converters and more flexible. I had the MINI-ME on loan, but decided on the MH. Apogee makes some really nice gear and I do think the MINI-ME is a fine unit, but th ULN-2 is in my opinion a better sounding interface. However I don‘t t...

Re: MOTU audio monitor read outs inaccurate?
Slightly OT, but it may be relevant for Resonant Alien and his setup. The meter on the Alesis Masterlink is not very reliable in terms of transients. I have had situations where the meter showed a maximum of -2dbFS during recording, while it goes into red during playback of the same recording. Anoth...

Re: mixing drums
I will throw in another issue into this. I bought a Benchmark DAC1 DA converter a while back and my listening enviroment became a lot more transparent and accurate (before I used the MOTU 1296). After I started using the DAC1 I do a lot less processing on the drums (or actually anything). Improving ...

Re: 2 features i really miss a lot
Hello Jorge
For some reason you seem to not have the CORE AUDIO EXPORT options (AIFC,AIFF, Next/SUN, SD2, WAVE). I don‘t know why this is so. Anyone?

Re: 2 features i really miss a lot
I do not which version of DP you have but in 4.52 you can do both these functions. Check the soundbites menu for both functions. For CD audio import use "Import audio" and for WAV export use "Export selected bites" (you have to choose WAVE format in the Mac popup menu).

Re: Altiverb 5 just released!!!
I agree with Splinter. the difference betweeen 4 and 5 i obvious. More transperent and fits better in the mix. The new controls are very nice. Quite a massive update in my opinion.

Re: DP4 in pro mix situation is a joke
Just to clarify my earlier statement; Amplidood‘s original posting stated that "DP4 in pro mix situation is a joke". I find this not to be the case. Splinters observation of sync problems in 4.52 might very well be the case and it would be great to hear from others working in 4.52 if the...

Re: DP4 in pro mix situation is a joke
I have been mixing records in DP (since version 3, also using MTPAV and 1296) and it has been a blessing for me. I find it rock solid (even though the transition to OSX was a bit uncomfortable for a while). I think all systems need to be set up properly, and if you do so you should be able to get pr...
