How do you properly mount Disk images made via Disk Copy
I tried backing up a 6gig fireball to my SCSI harddrive in a attempt to replace it with a 30gig fireball. I run OS 9.2.2 & DP 3.0 on a 350 B&W G3. I just simply draged and dropped folders onto the SCSI drive. And then I transfered files back to the newly partitioned 30 gig drive. Unfortunate...

Greetings, I tried backing up a 6gig fireball to my SCSI harddrive in a attempt to replace it with a 30gig fireball. I just simply drag and dropped folders onto the SCSI drive. Re: Need help backing up my hard drive with Norton Utilities
midiw, Everything went great, I used disk copy and copied every folder to my SCSI drive by drag and drop. Installed new maxtor 30gig/66 drive, initialized two partitions - and copied everything back. I have to reenter a few authorizations, and a few programs simply dont work. But all in all I'm happ...

Re: Need help backing up my hard drive with Norton Utilities
Thanks, I use to use Vision so I will be willing to give Studio vision a try. So I guess I can transfer application folders using disk utility. Thanks, I will get started as soon as the drive arrives and I will keep you posted. Dallas <small>[ July 22, 2005, 03:44 PM: Message edited by: Dallas4lr ]<...

Re: Need help backing up my hard drive with Norton Utilities
Hmmm, I have a Rorke 4bay SCSI tower that I save all my audio files on. I just need to replace the internal 6 gig fireball. I've already purchased a 30 gig 7200/66 Maxtor drive. So I just need info on setting up Apple Disk Utility for backing up 2 gigs to SCSI or ZIP, and how to restore this back to...

Re: Need help backing up my hard drive with Norton Utilities
Midiw, My G3 B&W has a zip drive, I could definitely just copy some folders over to the zip drive, but I have a few pieces of software that are no longer available on my current drive. How do you copy applications to a zip and then back to a new drive and maintain functionality. Two, what is the...

Re: Need help backing up my hard drive with Norton Utilities
Thanks, I do appreciate all of your comments but: My 6 gig fireball is failing!!!!! So it has to go!!!! So I need to replace the system drive. Any option would require me to transfer my current data to any new drive whether IDE/USB/firewire and I'm just trying to find an easy way to do this in OS9. ...

Re: Which ver. DP best for G3 450 (umax s900) 324-PCI
Musoguy, The PCI-324 isnt a standalone unit, the PCI-324 has to be connected to a MOTU digital interface. Since you havent mentioned the model interface you are using I;m assuming you don't have one and without it you won't be doing any recording. My point is the PCI-324 only works with MOTU digital...

Re: Which ver. DP best for G3 450 (umax s900) 324-PCI
Greetings, I'm running DP 3.0 on a G3 B&W 350. As others have stated DP 4.0 would be far too slow on your processor. Your will probably have to go to ebay to get a version of DP 3.0 - thats where I got mine. Also I wouldnt lock myself in with that PCI 324 unless your certain you will be using a ...

Mr Bill,
I'm kinda new to DP, could you go into more detail on using the plugin. I'm not even sure I have it.
