Re: Recording Plug Ins
Bring your recorded signal into an Aux track with your compressor loaded. The output of that track then goes to your audio track. The effect will be printed.

Re: MIDI F# is cueing next chunk, but not in commands
I always have to delete this MIDI event on new projects in the commands window. Its under the Category "Chunk Selection" , then Seq-1, then delete F#2. By the way, this didn't show up when I searched using the word chunk in the commands window. You must scroll down to it.

Re: seeking advice on iMac vs MacPro purchase for film scori
Good to hear Markus. I'm off now to look for a 5,1. I suppose my older 2007 MacPro is not worth upgrading.

Thanks Marcus for the link to that thread. Another option I hadn't considered though I'm a bit hesitant to try that CPU upgrade myself.

Re: seeking advice on iMac vs MacPro purchase for film scori
Thanks Mike for that thorough reply. Good points to ponder. $2600 is not a hard ceiling but I did not consider a 1T flash drive. That raises the price substantially. I had planned on buying RAM from OWC and using my existing monitor with TB-HDMI adapter. I suppose that what led me into nMP territory...

seeking advice on iMac vs MacPro purchase for film scoring
Hello, I have been using a 2007 MacPro for general recording and recently the hard drive died. I am considering purchasing either a late 2015 iMac Intel Core i7 (Skylake) 4Ghz quad core or the base model 2013 MacPro quad core. I am leaning towards the MacPro for its upgradability if my needs change ...

Video of Magic Dave Teaching DP at Berklee
Good intro video to DP's capabilities. Dave is an engaging teacher. Video runs a bit slow but I learned a few tips along the way. http://learningcenter.berklee.edu/event/digital-performer-run-down-presented-dave-roberts Film scoring video to come. http://learningcenter.berklee.edu/event/digital-perf...

how to use Vienna SE in DP?
Hello, folks. I am relatively new to DAW's and just installed Vienna Special Edition. My question is, what is the simplest way to have a full orchestra pallette available in DP, similiar to the Special Edition demo tutorial on the VSL site (ie. each section and its various articulations on its own M...

Compatibility of Mac Pro and Fireface 400 vs MOTU interface
I am new to the site and to the DAW world and I had a few questions re: using the RME FF400 with my Mac Pro. I know there has been problems with firewire on Intels and was wondering if I should return it for a 2408 mk3 (recommended by the salesman at West LA music for future expandability if desired...
