In my opinion, I still do not trust AMD processors to be as compatible with a lot of the audio hardware on the market. From my observation, many individuals who have problems seem to have AMD processors. Yes, I know there are many more possible varialbles, but I believe this is one snag. I have use...

896hd's still losing sync at 96khz
I am having a problem with 96khz playback when 2 motu896hd's are connected via firewire. I was able to record 14 tracks @ 96khz successfully, but with occaisional difficulty, with this configuration, but playing them back will cause my two FW devices to lose sync. When recording, I have issues, but ...

I'm not familiar with Nuendo, but it sounds like maybe your ASIO driver needs to be configured to include your ADAT now that it's working. I use Samplitude, and when the ADAT is off, the ASIO driver drops those channels off of the available in/out. When the ADAT is back on, the ASIO driver adds them...

I used to have the same problem with my 2 896HD,s. I traced my problem to the firewire card bridged to my network. I disabled it off of the network and the pops stopped. Can you describe where you saw that the 1394 was bridged to the network and where you disabled it? We've tried a lot of things so...

Like the other poster, I have used my 896hd with the Behringer pre connected via the light pipe, and it worked great. Should work just the same with any other adat (light pipe) device too. One thing on the Motu side is you have 8 adat in/out at 44 or 48, but if you go to 88 or 96 (which the Behringe...

Yes, recording with the two at 24/96 seems to work great. The problem that I'm having seems to be limited to just playback of 24/96 projects that were recorded before we added the second 896hd. So basically, if we recorded it in the past with only one 896hd, then it plays back fine if only one 896hd...

Connect two 896hd's with word clock?
Is it required or recommended to connect a pair of 896hd's, that are already connected via FW, via a bnc word clock cable? For the most part our pair works fine in recording in all formats, but playback/mixing at 96 sometimes gives pops and clicks that can be alleviated by disabling the second 896hd...
