Either robots are smart enough to get past this, or they’re not. If not, why would it matter if they access the service on the site?

Re: Convert split stereo to interleaved... why is this such a mystery?

Speculating here. Don't the two files, in addition to having the .L and .R designations in the name, have to contain metadata in the header that conforms in a number of ways? For example, if you just create two mono audio files, and give them the same name, and add the .L and .R, the process Mike us...

Re: No Monitoring During Real-Time Bounce to Disk – Is That Normal?

Real time bounce? Or are you referring to the Bounce Mode setting which can be set to Offline. If not set to Offline, the tracks play as usual while the bounce is created. If not set to Offline, I don't hear anything.

Re: Migration to Mac Studio M2 Ultra

You might want to also look at the KVR manager. It does pretty much the same thing but also shows whether updates are available. Not perfect, but the occasional launch of this in additions to the other plugin manager is informative. I've noticed that both of these see a few plugins the other doesn't...

Re: OT Query: Who knows of a good macOS calculator?

Ar you sure? Most of those functions have been moved (paper tape is still gone, however). Save Paper tape is in the file menu on Sonoma. Not sure what one is supposed to do with it. Might this one be closer to the mark? https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/calculator-with-history/id1341670984?mt=12 There ...

Re: Why does my CPU meter spike even when the actual CPU usage in Activity Monitor is almost nothing?

You didn't say if you can actually hear anything when this happens. There was a long thread on the matter years ago.. Most could see the meter but didn't hear anything and the conclusion appeared to be to just ignore it. For purposes of analysis, having the window that shows CPU load for plugins mig...

Re: OT Query: Who knows of a good macOS calculator?

I usually have a Numbers sheet lurking in the background, saved to iCloud so it's always there with whatever I've done.
Also have a solar powered real calculator that works in low room light. It cost $12. $30 is nuts.

Re: Crash on launch every time - RESOLVED

Isn’t Modulo is part of DP, a built-in MAS plugin? If that’s what caused crashes, someone better tell MOTU tech.

Re: UVI Workstation VST Fail in DP11

One of my 2012 MBPs is still on 10.14 Mojave. Part of this is because I did a lot of work in Encore a lifetime ago and I need to access the files now and then. The other reason is Adobe and I’ll leave it at that. A couple months ago, I dumped a cup of coffee into it. I was going to pull the SSD and...

I agree. Current macOS versions remind me why I abandoned Windows so long ago. But I have abandoned paper too.

I had hoped to stay on 10.14, but after too many similar experiences, I went to macOS 12. It has a few minor annoyances, but is bearable.

Re: Bounce to disk - greyed out

I almost never use bounce to disk, and run all my mixes in realtime. I suppose it is because I trust it so little that I'd have to listen to the bounce in realtime anyway, so might as well. Invariably, I hear something during the bounce and have to tweak it anyway. Issues with bounce to disk sort o...

Re: Soundpaint CS-80 VI

I'm guessing it's a boast in the blurb as to how many samples were taken. Generally-speaking of course, higher is better. I'm tippin' it's a typo. Could be 3000, 30 000, 300 000... who knows? You'd want your promo guy or team to at least get this right. Right. You have to wonder what else they got ...

Re: Plug-in Updates Sticky Topic

Not sure if this is the right place —…

I have an ad from Soundpaint for a new CS-80 VI. In it, they say:

ULTRA-DEEP SAMPLED WITH 31.2000 SAMPLES

What does the “31.20000” refer to?
