Re: midnam files: Evolver, SQ80, Ion, Yamaha CS6x, Kawai K5

I've been away for a long time. I'm back and may have some more .midnam (and .middev) files for Dave Smith Instruments later.

I personally find the BBE very useful. It is a different type of device than the Aphex Aural Exciter but they both have their uses. The BBE process corrects the phase problems that occur when amplifying a sound, sounds change when they are passed through electronic circuitry. The Aphex generates odd...

Interesting. I hadn't noticed the order of items on the list. I am hoping to eventually find some hubs that work. Right now I have things working but not as I would like. I have 2 16 space shock-mounted racks and climbing behind them is like climbing under the desk you mentioned. I'll explain what I...

MTP/AV USB Problems When Connected To USB Hub

*sigh* *sigh* *sigh* I was hoping to be able to connect everything without always having to switch cables..... Here is the situation: I have 2 MTP/AV USB's in 2 racks. In each rack along with the MTPs there are other USB devices. In one rack there is an MTP and an Akai Z4. In the other rack there is...

On the surface, it's almost worth paying $400 for a G5 2.2G just to see what it can do. Ah, but it seems many are also missing that it is NOT a G5 but an Intel box A company called Psystar has started advertising a $399 computer called "OpenMac" which claims to be a Leopard compatible Mac...

Finally somebody woke up.

How many synth and software companies have prospered from mergers/acquisitions with Gibson????

Can someone say Opcode and Oberheim, LOL! :)

:D Doh, or maybe Gibson didn't buy them because their name didn't begin with an "O" :)

Hi, I don't use many VI's... I have played with ImpOSCar, Morphine and Cameleon 5000. They seem to run fine with no problems, however, I pretty much use hardware instead of VI's. Otherwise I have been very happy with the MacBook Pro. I used to swear by desktops but this is the first laptop I like be...

Hi, I have a 1 y.o. MacBook Pro 17"/2.33GHz/3G RAM/160G HD running OS-X 15.5.2 with an 8pre. I haven't had a single problem with the 8pre so far and I plan to buy another one later. I don't know about the 08 MacBook Pros, however, I would think that if they use the same chipset for the firewire...

Hi,

I am using DP5.13 on a MacBook Pro running OS-X 10.5.2 with no serious problems.

I do have a few quirks with MIDI volume levels.

I don't use it heavily for audio, but a little sometimes, but haven't had any audio problems so far.

I use it mainly with MIDI gear and not many VI's.

I did notice as soon as I lifted it that although each Mac I've bought was heavier than the last, this one was the only exception; it was surely lighter. Still substantial-feeling though. Well sure my simian friend, but the old G5's sported that water cooled radiator system from 68 mustangs, so no ...

Get a Korg Radias. If you're going to do it, do it right. But, I'll ask again: Are you sure it's vocoder you're seeking? Vocoders sound like "Domo Erigato, Mr. Roboto" or "Intergalactic, planetary, planetary, intergalactic" or, for one pass, "Two turntables and a microphone...
