Re: MAVERICKS (10.9) ISSUES & COMPATIBLITY

Here is the proof that knowledge does only harm, when given to stupid. I read in this thread that Snapper for Mavericks is not working. Then I read that Snapper is working, one just has to give it rights to work. Stupid me, after reading I went to AudioEase site and downloaded the app. 100-day demo ...

Re: MAVERICKS (10.9) ISSUES & COMPATIBLITY

Melodyne and 10.9 on my computer.

Singletrack 2.1.1: works as standalone and AU in DP8.05

Studio 3.2.2.2: error, discovers internal inconsistency and is forced restart. After restart same error.
Can anyone verify this?

Re: MAVERICKS (10.9) ISSUES & COMPATIBLITY

Once I did maintenance tasks too. Now the only 2 maintenance tasks I have done for past years are: 1) after kernel panic- boot to single user mode and do fsck -fy 2) if stuff starts to act weird- repair preferences with disk utility I have developed a strong feeling that many companies want to creat...

Re: MAVERICKS (10.9) ISSUES & COMPATIBLITY

East West Play ver. 4 works very well as standalone but requires a little trick, see here:

EastWest Play app DOES work as Standalone in 10.9, how-to

I took a big leak (sorry, leap) and installed OS 10.9 over 10.8.5 as an update. I am currently between projects so I could afford that (I have clones and backups of my 10.8.5... just in case) Tested with MacOS 10.9, Play app. ver. 4.0.23 (and 4.0.18) PLAY app works perfectly, it is a bit tricky to o...

Re: MAVERICKS (10.9) ISSUES & COMPATIBLITY

I have a similar experience with EWQL Symphonic orchestra. Works inside DP8.05 or Bidule and does not as standalone. Can anyone test in 10.9: *** Wallander wind/brass AU inside DP 8.05 *** NI Kontakt 5.3.0 Standalone and AU inside DP 8.05 Some users report Kontakt crashing in Mavericks but they do n...

Re: Mavericks may be killing Quickeys....

Of course you can disagree. If QK works still in 10.9- I am glad for QK users. I made a painful switch to Keyboard Maestro and am still glad I did it. There is indeed active development going on with KM. The switch isn't easy, re-programming all macros is a pain and of course the logic of QK and KB ...

I have WIVI pro edition with all instruments, DP 8.05.
Can anyone verify if Wallander plugin works in MacOS 10.9?

Re: MOTU audio hardware ans OS 10.8

I have installed supposed working drivers for my Ultralite mk3 hybrid on 10.8 and OS X crashes constantly. I recommend you to wait for the next drivers release. Thank you for your answer. I will definitely wait until Motu has posted new interface drivers. I own Ultralite mk3 Firewire version and I ...

MOTU audio hardware ans OS 10.8

Has anyone tested MOTU FW and/or USB audio interfaces with Mountain Lion? The only piece of information I could find was roaringapps.com site, which states: doesn't work. Somebody has posted a note there that Motu kernel extension crashes the system. No more details there... Edit: after writing the ...

Re: Recording without MOTU interface, Aggregate device woes

Did some longer testing. Conclusions: 1) selecting input-output in DP hardware setup and trying to sync stuff to input- no go. Every few minutes DP puts up an alert that some audio was skipped. I suspect that somehow the mac clock and mico clock work in parallel and therefore get timing errors. 2) a...

Re: Recording without MOTU interface, Aggregate device woes

Don't use another clock source besides the Apple internal. More and more manufacturers who don't make clocks are recommending this. If this works - and it should - then you can start messing with the settings to see what does and doesn't work with your new setup. Yes, that is the point. I want to l...

Re: Recording without MOTU interface, Aggregate device woes

NazRat wrote:In DP you can select multiple devices in Hardware Setup by cmd-clicking them. You don't need to use an aggregate device - try that. Not sure about what the clocking options will be.
Will try and report back here later. Thanks.

Recording without MOTU interface, Aggregate device woes

Hello, I am posting a newbie question here (mainly because I am a newbie). I did some searches before starting this thread so please just point my nose in the right direction if the issue has been covered here. I have to make stereo recordings on location and I have the following gear: Stereo mic se...
