Re: How to install MOTU Legacy interface support in CATALINA
Luckily one can trash all Motu-Installed 32-bit apps from /Applications folder. Apple Audio/MIDI Setup app lets you to select sample rate, sync source, inputs/outputs etc. This is necessary for some apps that do not have interface control preferences selectable in-App. http://music.ee/imgz/sysaudio....

How to install MOTU Legacy interface support in CATALINA
UPDATED DEC. 19 for 10.15.2 This post serves 2 puropses: [1] guide people how to install MOTU legacy audio interface drivers to Catalina; [2] warn people to not make some stupidity as I did. If it ain't broken, don't fix it! I have MacBook Pro 11,3 and Motu UltraLite mk3 Firewire (only) audio inter...

Re: Catalina compatible drivers posted
I can also verify that my good old firewire interface UltraLite mk3 works with 10.15.1. CueMix does not come with the new installer and the old installed app is 32-bit so that is gone now. CueMix features are of course available from UltraLite mk3 front panel but if anyone really would need those fe...

Re: mk3 ultralite Firewire only - Mojave
Here is my experience. Updated from 10.13.6 to 10.14. Everything seemed to work smoothly... until I thought there is no audio coming in. I plugged a mic to input 1 of my UL mk3 FW and usually when I looked at TRACKS tab, there was a blue bar in level column showing the audio level. The bar was showi...

Re: mk3 ultralite Firewire only - Mojave
I asked MOTU tech support about Mojave and Ultralite mk3 Firewire compatibility. My question was- has Motu tested this in reality. The answer was that they have tried it out and this combo works, the interface is seen by MacOS and there is audio in/out. They also emphasized that this info is not an ...

Re: mk3 ultralite Firewire only - Mojave
Have you solved the issue? Did you get audio working with UltraLite mk3 and Mojave? I have the same interface and I cannot test it. If it does not work then I will be in trouble. Actually a general question- has any early Mojave user gotten any Firewire device to work that requires v1.6.73220 | Jul....

Re: MOTU Firewire and OS 10.12 Sierra
I can add my two cents here...
Installed 10.12 update over 10.11.6. UltraLite mk3 FW keeps working. No problems with anything so far... DP 9.12, Finale 25, PlogueBidule, my Pianotek, NI, etc plugins- all work ok so far.

Re: MOTU Firewire and OS 10.12 Sierra
Motu tech did answer. The interface SHOULD work but the official testing is still ongoing. Motu will soon update the compatibility info. So as I understand, there are no reasons that the interface shouldn't work. Motu is of course being careful here and it is wise. They can only announce the compati...

MOTU Firewire and OS 10.12 Sierra
I have read the Motu compatibility announcement regarding their audio interfaces. There is no mention about Firewire interfaces' compatibility with OS 10.12 I have a good old Ultralite mk3 Firewire version, connected to Apple's Thunderbolt2 > Firewire adapter. Everything is running great under 10.11...

Re: El Capitan and Cuemix
MOTU has not mentioned anything about FW interfaces. I did test my UltraLite mk3 FW interface with 10.11 and it works fine. Didn't try Cuemix though.

10.11 and Ultralite mk3 FW interface
Hello, I just tested UltraLite mk3 Firewire interface with and old Mac and MOTU Audio installer from Oct, 17 2014. The initial test shows that FW interface does work, Audio MIDI setup does not crash and also MOTU audio setup runs normally. No problems so far. I could conduct this test only because I...

Re: Yosemite
I have tested Yosemite release with newest versions of DP, Finale, Pianoteq etc. I am running an old mid 2010 MBP 6.2 with 2.4GHz i5 and 8GB RAM (SSD installed) with MOTU UltraLite mk3. My very subjective impression is that there is a slight speed boost overall. Everything FEELS faster. DP runs smoo...

Freeing RAM- 'purge' command and OS10.9
I am currently waiting for new Mac Mini to come out. I am currently working on a computer with 8GM RAM (installed and also maximum possible). I would need at least 16GB RAM for running needed instruments in DP plugins (Play, Kontakt etc.). Quite often, after opening and closing some apps and then tr...

Done some testing now too, Wallander pro edition, all instruments. In DP and Bidule- no problems.
