Re: DP{ 9.13 available
Installed DP 9.13. It will not launch, crashes before fully booting. Tried a restart, same result.

Re: DP 9.1 not playing nice with UAD Apollo Quad
From what I remember, I believe UAD does no testing with DP.

Re: Korg Krome in your DP9 Rig Anyone
I believe Korg has an editor for Krome that works over USB and has all the banks and patches. Check their site.

Re: MIDI record timing funkiness on playback
This is a known problem with DP 9.12 and external MIDI sound sources. Dp 9.02 does not have this issue. It has been reported to Motu, they say they are working on it, but nothing has changed for many months.

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
I just grabbed it at $59.00. I agree this comp is good!Dec 31 - Last day of the year sale for PSP FETpressor. $99 on sale for $59 and I got mine for $39 'cause own a lot of their stuff. This is a great comp IMO! Good testimonials on the site. I love PSP and happily support them.

Re: UAD Plugs not saving settings after quit
Yes, for some reason VST presets will "stick". But any presets you make as AU will not be available once you switch to VST. Obviously.

Re: UAD Plugs not saving settings after quit
Save it in the slot at the top of the mixer above the plugin slots. Click in that slot, it allows you to save settings there. It can be a single plugin or a group of plugins.

Re: UAD Plugs not saving settings after quit
This has been an ongoing problem with UAD plug ins and DP. UAD blames Motu, and Motu blames UAD and it never gets fixed. Save as a Motu preset is the work around.

Re: Don't expect precision from DP (long)
Just tested this "nudge" issue on Mountain Lion with DP 9.12 and it is happening on my system. That makes 2 known accuracy issues, including external MIDI timing. I guess you have to use "move to original time stamp" to get back to where you started from. You shouldn't have to us...

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
Turning off "Sync Recorded MIDI to Patch Thru" has no effect on external MIDI triggered sounds on my system. It doesn't tighten up timing at all.

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
For me it's the external MIDI gets later and later as you increase the buffer, the metronome stays on time at all buffer settings. Again, none of this happens in DP 9.02.

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
Yo, dewdman42. I couldn't resist! I tried your test as described. At smaller buffer settings the timing is tighter, as the buffer is increased the flaming between the two sources becomes greater. This is just listening back to the 2 sources no recording of audio involved. To me this would indicate i...

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
If you look back at some of my previous posts you will see the tests I conducted, with links to screen shots showing how buffer size effects external MIDI side stick vs a V.I. generated side stick. These were done in DP 9.1 and DP 9.02. All this info has been sent to Motu, via Tech Links.

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
I think it is almost certain that "next gen pre gen" is the culprit when it comes to bad external MIDI timing, and that for whatever reason Audio I/O timing is not compensating the way it was in DP 9.02 and previous versions. From the testing I've done I think audio is still being recorded...

Re: external MIDI instrument timing
Yes, I've tried the the MIDI Time Shift plug-in and it does work, but you have to change it every time you change the buffer setting as MIDI timing changes as you make the buffer smaller or larger. I've been using DP since around DP 3 and it's the first time an update has broken something as basic a...
