MIDI volume issues using Kontakt MIDI editing

I'm editing a bass part in MIDI using Scarbee Jay Bass. Jumping from window to window the audio level on the Jay Bass window jumps back to all the way down. I also have the MIDI track on the plugin track and want to put a CC#7 message of 127 but it won't let me. How do I set it up so that it will stay at 0? I've inserted an Audio Volume of 0.00 at measure one on the plugin MIDI track but it doesn't stay.

I was digging around because this was an issue for me before. I couldn't find my note, so I'm going to try to "raw-dog" it from memory (my wife says I don't understand that expression). I'm not very sure this is the right answer, but it won't hurt to try.

In Kontakt, click the instrument's wrench icon. Then click on the tab/button called INSTRUMENT OPTIONS. On the left side of that click on the CONTROLLER tab. Then make sure the box for "Accept standard controllers for Volume (#7) and Pan (#10). You can set the range of the #7 controller.

On my system, when I tested this theory, it didn't have any issue with the volume changing with it checked or unchecked, but I do think this is the right place to start.

I'm pretty sure that Lance's issue is Volume Automation. We spoke and I think I have pointed him in the right direction.

BTW, pan is CC10, not CC11. CC11 is expression.

Good catch. I corrected it above. (No excuses! That zero is too far away from that one!)

Thanks!
