Motu web interface on Microsoft Surface

I own a Motu 24AO and an Ultralite AVB and use the Web interface for mixing and routing.

But it's almost unusable on a Microsoft Surface as every touch on a fader cause some kind of glitch and jumps so the fader goes to Max level as soon as you touch anywhere with a finger.

I do not have this issue with an Ipad or Android.

Anyone encountered this issue?
It seems related to the hover or multitouch of the Microsoft Surface.

Tried to change driver settings and everything possible without any solution.

Any suggestions welcome.

I just checked this out on my Surface Pro and don't see the same issue that you are reporting. It works fine and as I would expect. Aside from the obvious Surface-specific touch screen element to this, are you using the latest browser? Edge?

Whatever on edge , chrome or Firefox I have the same issue.

It's a Windows 11 surface 9 Pro.

Which version do you have ?

I have a Surface Pro 8, Windows 11 Pro and an 828es.

You might want to look at the "Tablet PC Settings" control panel. May be a longshot.

Is this setting on the surface or on the Motu ?
Good to see it's not the windows version.

That is a Windows application. If you run "Control Panel" and search "Tablet", you should find it.

Found nothing special in the tablet settings.

This is what it looks like

Do you see the "glitch" when I touch outside the faders after adjusting them ?

Yes, unfortunately I can reproduce it too. It seems like every fader you touch becomes enabled for control, but the only way to unselect is to click with the mouse.

I have a hard time understanding what this has to do with the touch aspects of the surface. This seems like a touch/browser issue or a browser/MOTU issue (the latter seeming more likely).

Open a ticket with MOTU?

Have you tried disabling Press and Hold for right-clicking? I've seen that issue discussed before, but not with this app.

The thing is that I don't have any issue with an iPad or Android tablet or my Android phone.

So it's not a MOTY issue.

It's really seems to be a MS surface issue.
Other web interfaces like Spotify have the same issue on the volume control.

Disabling/enabling long press option has no effect.

Seems it's locked in desktop mode, and to turn it into Tablet mode you need to detach the keyboard. But what if you don't have a keyboard? Haha

Good idea (i.e., disabling right-click), but I don't see any difference changing these settings.

I wouldn't assume this is a Surface issue. It is very possible that the Surface is providing a richer set of information to the MOTU web app -- and other browser apps -- than the apps are prepared for.

There is a javascript error thrown whenever you remove your finger from a fader. The app is clearly thinking the fader is still being "held". It appears to require a mouse-up event to clear the state. I will try this on an iPad when I have time to ensure that error doesn't surface there.

Whether or not this is a bug in the MOTU app, I'm sure they can correct for it. I'll create a support request once I gather more data.

Yes you are right. Seems the MOTU (or the browser whatever it is) seems to think your finger is still pressing down .

But cannot explain why an ipad work.

May be related to tablet mode / desktop mode as I am stuck in desktop mode.
