The title says it all. Since I no longer get to play my lute, I'm looking for a truly decent VI. The Middle East lute in UVI World Suite 2 doesn't make it for me and 'lute guitars' or lute harps' just sound wrong. If I could also find a theorbo, that would be icing on the cake.
In my first video, I'm using the Spanish Guitar from the Flamenco bank in UVI World Traditions — I understand might also be in Symphonic Instrument. It's not bad in a pinch but the 'plasticy' sound of the 2nd & 3rd strings is a dead giveaway. Double courses of gut just doesn't sound like that.
Any ideas?

I found THE CONSERVATOIRE COLLECTION at https://www.soniccouture.com/en/products/. It's $199 but has everything I was looking for. Kontakt Player compatible but I have Kontakt 6 anyway so not an issue.
Conservatoire is excellent and likely is on huge markdown due to the just-announced Soniccouture sale.
I also have Fluffy Audio's historic instruments collection. The two complement each other rather nicely as they only have a tiny amount of overlap.
I like having several variants of lutes, theorbos, and pre-romantic nylon guitars.

Conservatoire is not included in the current sale at NI, darn it.
I forgot about Fluffy Audio. I own some of their libraries, also.
Anyway, here is that same video with the English Theorbo from Conservatoire — vast improvement.
The recorder tracks are being played by three of my singers. 3 each sopranos, altos and tenors with 2 basses.
As much as I look forward to the massive reduction in hours when we go back to meeting in person, I will miss the music we are able to make as an online choir.
