5.0.8 is out. Here are the release notes:

Version 5.0.8: 18.07.22:
⁃ fixed a potential compatibility problem with plug-ins not supporting a low level timing information passed by the host, causing no audio output
⁃ fixed a problem of corrupted audio loading plug-in on insert on inputs
⁃ extended DDP import compatibility
⁃ better Project management and several workflow improvements.
⁃ several important bug fixes

I couldn't reach the site in Chrome but had no problem in Safari or Firefox. Just checked again and can now access in Chrome.

https://www.dsp-quattro.com/dspquattro/ ... oduct.html

5.0.8 is working fine for me. Still keeping 4.4 for the functionality that hasn't been implemented yet.

I'm liking the layout a lot!

I'll add my voice to those who wish DSP-Q5 would just open an audio file if I right-click it and select DSP-Q.

Stefano, I'd appreciate it if you would add a File>Open Recent Files menu list and it would be nice to have the channel strip controls respond to the scroll wheel.

I have all my wav files set to automatically open DSP-Q 4. I'm so used to double cliccking wav files to open DSP-Q several times a day it's going to be difficult to get used to having to create a project etc. Just going through my workflow in my head I counted 4 or 5 extra steps with V5 vs double clicking and immediately going to work. It's V4 for me until it won't run any longer.

Hopefully, it will still work in Mojave and, by the time of 10.15, this will no longer be an issue.

I'm forcing myself to finish my current project in 5 so I can learn it best I can. Waiting on info from the artist...

You can set them to open with DP5. Double clicking the wav file will open DSPQ5 and will put the file in the audio list, but not in the editor window. So, nearly there, but not quite.

That's helpful to know. Thanks!

Or, just keep all your wav files in one project and open them from there.

How does that work? Even if you convert all your files to .caf and copy them into the package contents for the project file, they don't appear in the audio file list when you open the project. I suppose it would work if you always work with the same audio files, and only have to pull them into a project once, but otherwise?

My bad. I forgot about the .caf default format. I wish there was a way to change that.

Perhaps I misunderstand, but they do appear in the list if I open a previously saved project.

Yes that right. But you still have get them into the project. If you are always opening new file rather than editing the same files multiple times there’s no way to add them to a project than going through the usual steps. No way to do the externally to the app suc as , for example, dragging things into a folder in the finder.

I'm still seeing UAD flags saying sync not switched to proper SR. RME's set to 96k. DSP-5 files all 96k yet error comes up. Mainly on Precision Limiter.
