Note: This is a Lite version of our Outlaw plugin. Advance features and presets are not included. You can get the full version here.
Gain riding can be highly beneficial when mixing live sound, smoothing vocals, or balancing solo instruments. The Lite version of our acclaimed Outlaw plugin is a massive first foray into the gain riding world for you. Outlaw Lite listens to the incoming audio and compensates for volume changes to mimic a real-life audio engineer's mixing desk fader movement. Forget about drawing complex volume automation and let Outlaw Lite do the hard work for you, with smooth gain leveling and a wealth of features.
Mix, Target, Gate & Gain
These 4 main dials give you flexible control over the fundamental parameters of Outlaw Lite, meaning that it's easy to make broad-strokes adjustments to the plugin's performance. Adjust the intensity of the effect with the MIX dial and set the RMS target level with the TARGET dial. Use the GATE control to set a relative level so that the gain-rider ignores softer sounds. The GAIN dial controls the master output and is very useful for setting accurate levels for precise A/B signal comparison.
Visual Feedback
See precisely what Outlaw Lite is doing to the signal at a glance with the bold visual feedback display. The display shows the Peak and RMS volume for both the left and right channels and the amount of gain-riding.
Outlaw Lite is the kind of toolbox plugin that you'll reach for every time you need to create balanced dynamics with a "human touch". Make it the first plugin on your channel for live guitars, vocals, bass, and drums, or anything that needs the smooth touch of a sympathetic virtual engineer.

NOTE: This VI is distributed without an installer. After copying the AU into the Components folder you will get a warning when DP attempts to validate it that the developer cannot be verified. To fix this read this thread: https://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72872
8DIO is having a "Spring into Summer" sale, and there are quite a few new freebie libraries thrown into the mix. I posted on the other thread that everything is discounted, as well.
To install you drag the plugin to the folder, then put the "Grand PIano.instruments" folder wherever you want. Run the plugin for the first time and you'll be prompted to locate that folder and then you're good from then on.
Native Instruments is giving away an "Irish Harp" instrument for free right now. Will work with free Kontakt Player... the full version of Kontakt is not required.
A curious app. It finds VST versions of plugins I don't have. It also lists a lot of packages that are not plugins (DP 11 for instance). And it doesn't appear in the launch screen and can't be searched there, although it shows up as an app in the Finder in the Applications folder.
I had to log-in first, but when you get to the checkout page use the code jlv3u9qc at checkout and it lowers the price to $0.00.
Don't know how long this will last. I already have a license with my Ultimate 11 bundle I got a while back, but who knows. Maybe I'll pad the licenses a little?
