I share this here because I found out these had been updated. Prior to this update AAX was still Intel only. It turns out that relying on iZotope Product Portal to alert you and update these is not a good idea. I found I had to go get the installers from here:

We’ve just released the ValhallaVintageVerb 4.0.0 update, with two new reverb modes: Chamber1979 and Hall1984!

Chamber1979 is inspired by a chamber algorithm from the late 1970s. The original design has been updated with lush & balanced modulation, a less metallic sound, and a smooth decay at all settings of the reverb time. We've also modeled the “aperture filter” of the original hardware, which adds brightness to the 70s and 80s modes, and makes things more properly vintage. Chamber1979 is great for vocal and acoustic chamber reverbs, as well as short room sounds and massive synth reverbs.

Hall1984 is a modern take on the classic concert hall algorithms of the 1970s and 80s. The internal reverb decay calculations have been updated to allow for more realistic shorter reverb times, as well as a more open sounding decay. Hall1984 also incorporates the aperture filter, which brings the tonality closer to the original 70s and 80s hardware. We feel that Hall1984 is the perfect expression of the VintageVerb philosophy: it looks to the past for inspiration, while incorporating modern reverb theory to add flexibility and clarity. Hall1984 sounds great on any audio source, and can be used for small rooms and giant cathedrals, as well as classic hall reverbs.

We’ve also added some QResque presets to the Palace presets folder, to showcase how the Palace algorithm can emulate early 80s digital room simulators. The Palace mode was released in January 2023, and we are still finding new tricks with it!

Kontakt 7.7.3 is out today. It's probably fine... but I think I'll run Time Machine and get. a snapshot of my boot drive first!!

I'm a little gun shy when it comes to Kontakt after the 7.6.1 debacle!
