Audio Monitoring/Bundles Question?

Post by kraigmason »

I have upgraded from DP3.1 to DP4.6 in the last week.
Everything is going well so far.
A few things have changed that I would like some advice on if possible.
I use the 828MKII, Tiger 10.4, DUAL 1 GHZ G4.
It used to be that the 828MKII Analog Input 1 corresponded with Input#1 in the Audio Monitoring Window.
Now, Mic/Instrument 1 shows up in Input #1. (it use to be input#9)
Mic/Instrument 2 shows up in input #2.
Which puts Analog 1 in Input #3.
I would like to rearrange it to the way that it was before as this makes more sense with my set up.
Is there a way to assign inputs to correspond with a particular # in the audio monitor?
I have browsed pages 200-201 (Audio Monitor Section).
and 171-177 (Bundles Section),
But do not see it pertaining to what I am trying to do.
Does this make sense?
Does any one have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Hi Kraig. I'm pretty sure the mapping between tracks and Audio Monitor #'s is dynamically derived by DP. There's no way to change this, AFAIK.

It CANNOT be done !

I spoke directly to MOTU today.
It cannot be done.
They flipped the inputs because of feedback that they got from the field.
People were using the Mic Inputs as Inputs 1 and 2.
I guess it makes sense because they are on the front of the unit.
Oh well.
