I'm working on a short film, and having an issue where after importing an OMF (generated in final cut), parts of the audio are missing from some tracks. The odd thing is, audio appears in the soundbites' waveforms in the sequence editor, but greyed out. I can't get at it through the waveform editor, and the files in the "Audio files " folder associated with the project don't have this audio either.
I'm going to get the tracks from the video editor, but it's quite odd.

Try AAF instead if you can.
