BUGGY BPM ??

Post by douglazyxx »

Had a decision to go with either BPM or Maschine. I choose BPM. Now I have seem to hAVE buggy software. Upgraded to 1.01 and everything seems cool except the main thing I wanted BPM for. SAMPLING. I want to sample from external source and when i load "Bpm Sampler" it locks up. I have the M-Audio NRV10 Firewire mixer. And my source (turntable) is going into channel 5/6 on the NRV. I Make the input source on BPM sampler channel 5/6 from the NRV. So basically when I play the turntable it should register on the Led readout on the BPM sampler. It DOES. But then whenever I load BPM the BPM SAmpler Freezes. Everytime. I tried different channels etc... yet it still freezes. Very discouraging. Honestly... i may be jumping to conclusions when I say BPM is buggy.. it could be my NRV... yet the NRV works with ALL my DAWs and everything else Audio in my MaC

Anyone else have this problem?

Imac 2.5 GHZ intel 3 Gigs of Ram.

Try to load BPMSampler plugin version in a simple host like those ones. (you can still run BPM in StandAlone though)

Like VST Lord http://arne.knup.de/?page_id=32
or RAX http://www.audiofile-engineering.com/rax/

See if this is related to the StandAlone version of BPMSampler having some trouble with your audio card or an issue with BPMSampler itself.

Hope this helps.

I'm also having issues with the standalone bpm sampler. I am using an 828 and am able to sample into the clip window of bpm standalone when I have bpm sampler loaded as a plugin in reaper. However, when I try loading the standalone bpm sampler and try to change my input source, it crashes. I'm on osx 10.5.6 running bpm 1.0.2 and bpm sampler 1.0.1. Any advice? Thanks
