When I try to copy the .dat file to my hard drive I get an error message:
Cannot copy Ethno: Data error (cyclic redundancy check) I have 4 computers. 2 Dell Dimension P4's which the DVD players won't even recognize the DVD.
Plus 2 HP Pavillion Dual cores that get the data error.
Has anyone else had this problem.
Is there a work-around?
This happened to me with the MOTU Symphonic Instrument too.
I sent it back for a refund.
Thanks in advance

Did you try more than once? I got a CRC error the first time as well, but it went away the second time. There's a lot of data on that DVD, and they aren't packaged very well. Mine got scratched in transit. I figure the error-correction kicked in adequately to avoid CRC failure on the second or third try.
I now have a backup of the .DAT file as well, in case the original disc becomes unreadable over time.
