Are you using BFD in ReWire mode? This is the only way to get more than stereo outputs from BFD in DP. Check FXpansion's webite for more info. Of course, you could always separate MIDI data per drum, solo each MIDI track and record the audio output from BFD into multiple stereo tracks to build a mul...

Good to hear the DM3200 is working well. I have yet to see any reviews of the board, and was just wondering earlier today if it was because the thing didn't work. It appears my fears were unfounded. It is so very handy to have a board when tracking live. Good cue mixes are critical to getting great ...

Only downsides I've noticed to AU Waves so far is the nominally increased time it takes instantiate a plug in on an audio track and the somewhat strange behavior of the Tune Lite timeline (even after ReWire is running). Also, once I started running Waves AU, I had to start using AutoTune AU as well,...

PJ, I plan to keep a disc partition with DP 5.0 and Waves and Auto Tune MAS to allow opening older projects easily. I have too long a plug list already, with Q1-10, etc. I tried the IMPORT method you used, and was able to open a project with Waves MAS plugs into 5.1 running Waves AU only. I was unab...

Sonic Modulator can do a pretty fair Leslie... I used it years ago to fatten up an anemic PC88 mod-wheel Leslie effect. Now we have plug in automation, which should allow us to record the Leslie signature speed change by adjusting appropriate speed parameters. I haven't used SM for years; doesn't it...

Thaks for your efforts here guys. Having recently moved to DP 5.1, I noticed the MAS Waves issue. Although I was glad to see we can use the AU version of the Waves plugs with DP, it does send a shiver down my spine as I anticipate opening old projects created while I had functioning MAS Waves plugs....

If you use the Apple-supplied Activity Monitor (in Utilities folder), you can see how your machine is using the four processors. Get the floating window going, have it stay on top, and monitor the CPU hit while you work with ANY software. Activity Monitor takes a very small share of CPU for its own ...
