It is a bother, for sure. You might want to submit a Support Ticket, too. Make that wheel squeak a little louder.

I just linked from my Support Ticket at MOTU.com, which I posted Friday and has yet to be reviewed.James Steele wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 10:38 am Looks like MOTU must know about this one now since the video is actually hosted on their site?

Re: Dragging MIDI Notes Up and Down
I am experiencing similar issues in the SE. Tech note submitted to MOTU. This video shows the problem: https://cdn-data.motu.com/django_prod/techlink-attachments/370300/Pitch%20Editing%20in%20SE.mov In Sequence Editor Window, attempt to drag a MIDI Note to a new pitch beyond the frame of the visible...

Re: MOTU M2 low input volume
Sounds like the Yamaha... is it possibly receiving an errant CC7 (volume) or CC11 (expression) message from your DAW or a controller?

Startup and Shutdown power sequencing is something I've always paid attention to. When you find a sequence that doesn't cause trouble, stick with it!

Re: Assembling MIDI tracks from multiple takes
Multiple MIDI-only tracks addressing the same MIDI destination is what I typically do. Erase unneeded MIDI data, keeping the good parts from each track while watching out for CC overlap issues (you know, like that hanging sustain caused by an unrequited cc64...) Once everything is working right, MID...

Re: Changing Velocity with by holding down "V" and dragging mouse!
While we are here... I am very happy doing all my editing in the SE, with occasional forays to the Tracks window.
So, why should I bother with the MIDI Editor window? Any compelling reasons?

Re: Changing Velocity with by holding down "V" and dragging mouse!
I do all my editing, MIDI and Audio, in the Sequence Editor and Tracks windows and never use the MIDI Editor. The "V" trick works on MIDI in the SE, too. I love it... a really great way to visualize and adjust dynamics. Gets a lot of use when working on MIDI drums, for example, "let's...

Re: Sonoma 14.4 crash/kernel panic/reboot with Kontakt 7
Understanding that recent Mac purchasers may have no choice but Sonoma, the current angst reminds me the "lag one version of macOS" strategy is still good one whoever possible.
Current issues has me making sure to hang onto K6, too, although K7 is working fine for me.

Not for a long time, but Atmos. I'm expecting it to be integrated into the next DP upgrade.

Ventura to Sonoma?
But why? I'm running pretty smoothly under Ventura, and don't see anything but more troubles under Sonoma. I use Kontakt a lot, and that alone is reason enough to hang tight at present.

Re: New Mac Pro and PCIe card compatability
Hope it works well for you! You may want to consider which version of macOS you run with. There may be a more optimal OS than Mojave for DAW/DP use. IIRC, there were some issue in Mojave that were never addressed. It has been a couple of years for me, so my memory is foggy in this regard. Perhaps ot...
