Re: Building an External Music Studio Building
My immediate thoughts: 1. If at all possible, build something bigger than 160SF 2. Whatever the size, use dimensions that avoid stacking of room modes. http://www.mcsquared.com/modecalc.htm 3. If acoustic isolation ("soundproofing") is important in either direction (to acoustically protect...

Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase
With consecutive notes of the same pitch, where starts & ends are quantized for notation purposes , playback doesn't work right. I guess that's why I never see this problem. If quantizing for notation, as opposed to audio, purposes, perhaps a "Save As (Notation)" would be a good appro...

Re: "Upgrading" interfaces.
I came across a local sale of a 2408MK3 and the 424 PCIe card.... what benefit would i see to use the PCIe card and connect the 2408s to that? Going from memory here. Check the MOTO manual if you sent to explore in depth. IIRC: More I/O, balanced analog I/O, and better conversion with the mk3. One ...

How many Stereo Buses does the 828 provide? It may be limited to eight, and it looks like you have that many is use already...
If this is the case, you can either go with a few mono mixes or have some players share a mix.

I run all AU except:
Melodyne
Vocalign Project 5
Arturia Vocoder
Pretty sure that is it for VST3
No VST2

Re: Setting up to maximize workflow
Congrats on the new gig! Here are a few of my thoughts... Now that I'm on Apple Silicon, and due to the fact tracks can be pre-set then disabled, and folders collapsed, I have a fairly comprehensive template from which I always start projects. Nice to have favorite libraries on hand and set up to my...

If you need Antares Auto Tune, which is priced way too high IMO, Waves Tune Live is, also IMO, far better and available for a lot less cash if you don't hate Waves.

It is a very informative tool, indeed, especially when things are getting wonky or a project is pushing your computer to the limit.

Commands in DP are your friend. Reassign those currently assigned to your old keys to the new ones.

Had I known you had an expression pedal connected to your controller, I would have mentioned it along with all the other physical controls your controller provides. This is why I suggested exercising (moving back and forth thru their full ...
