Anyone using the MacBook Air M2?

I'm considering purchasing a MacBook Air M2. There is another topic here where the OP is having performance issues with this computer and DP. That topic has become heated, so I'm posting my question here. My question is simple. Has anyone else here (who owns a Macbook Air M2) had performance issues ...

Regarding the movie message - I was getting that for a while, then it mysteriously went away.
Except the name was movie.movie.

Things that make you go hmm.

Re: Don't forget the Trim!

Hey thanks for the reminder. I forgot to do that when I got my Mini. The externals were running without Trim enabled.

Re: What are your favorite reverb plugins?

Many moons ago there was a reverb by Kind of Loud called Realverb. I used it on many recordings. Kind of Loud got bought out by Universal Audio and it's the only reason I invested in a UAD card. UA renamed it Realverb-Pro and then added some features and named it Dreamverb. Both Realverb-Pro and Dre...

Slate VMS

So, the guitar player in one of the bands I work in (yes I currently work for 2 different bands - a scheduling nightmare and story for another day) is a big Sleep Token fan. I've listened to some of Sleep Token's stuff and it's not my cup of tea, but one of the things I really don't like is the voca...

Sounds suspicious to me. Anything that would cause ALL the capacitors in a unit to fail at once would cause a lot more damage than just capacitor failure. How did they determine that they are all bad? I'm calling BS. Just sayin.

Re: DI Box advise for Ultralite mk5

Phil, do you recall the difference in the cost of buying from Radial versus making your own using the design you posted? Here's the transformer I used: https://www.markertek.com/product/jt-db-e/jensen-jt-db-e-direct-box-transformer I think it was about 10 bucks cheaper back then. I used a cast alum...

Re: DI Box advise for Ultralite mk5

If you are looking for a passive unit I highly recommend something that uses a Jensen transformer. The Radial JDI is one that does. If you're handy with electronics you can build your own. Here's a simple passive schematic from the Jensen site: https://www.jensen-transformers.com/wp-content/uploads/...

Re: Can't remove outdated MIDI destination from Project.

Every now and then I get these ghosts from the past as well. I have a project that I call digital loopback that I use for listening to system sound through DP. It started telling me at start-up that an old Elemental Audio plugin couldn't be found, but that plugin had been removed from the project ye...

Re: DP Ignoring Notes At Start Of A Track

...Also, a punch-in pedal comes in mighty handy when working alone. How do you interface your punch-in pedal with DP? My old 828 has a 1/4 inch jack for a pedal, but it's a PIA to set it up just to use a pedal. BTW, I too typically put two measures at the beginning. Your friendly neighborhood Phil
