Re: Multiple MIDI controllers with soft synths in DP??

Thanks for the reply! :) What I'm thinking of doing is setting up the powerbook as MIDI master, and MIDI clock master, sending this all via Tiger's Network MIDI to Digital Performer on the dual Gig tower. With this type of thing it's important to be able to play more than one virtual instrument trac...

Multiple MIDI controllers with soft synths in DP??

I'm curious, has anybody tried to control say, Battery 2 with something like Trigger finger, while someone else plays the mach 5 with a master keyboard controller? Is it possible to route MIDI to two or more soft synths in DP? My copy of DP sits at 2.7.2, and I'm thinking of using 4.6 as an AU host,...

DP instead of Peak/DSP Quattro

What are any of your thoughts on forgoing a traditional two track editor in favor of DP as one? I'm thinking DP at $149 for the upgrade is a better choice than Peak or DSP Quattro. Especially since it will host AU on my tower while I send MIDI from Live 5 to it. Plus I kind of miss DP, Logic is cool...

Re: Sound Quality in DP as CPU Usage goes up.

Did you try setting a higher buffer for DP? I notice with Live 4, if the CPU is pushed, the buffer setting needs to be raised in order to preserve overall quality, and prevent dropouts etc.

Re: DP 4.6 with Network MIDI VS Logic

Wormhole 2 works fine here with Live 4 and Logic 7. It's not the most elegant solution to me for my needs unfortunately. In Live 4 on the powerbook I create a MIDI track send it to the dual running Logic synched and sending the audio via Wormhole to a Live audio track. Well Live doesn't like the ide...
