Re: DP Gripes, and things that have (almost) pushed me to Cubase
Interesting, HC. I'll have to check which version of Arturia Vocoder I settled on as the most stable. I tend to prefer AU as the plug-in level presets are lifesavers for me when a vendor update wipes out the native presets that I stored. As far as I know, even VST3 doesn't have this feature, so you'...

Re: SpectraLayers 10 is a life saver, for legacy projects
I'm just gonna' try to mix it well the first time around. :deadhorse: Famous last words. Of course, most of us are dealing with projects we did not control, kind of like how most software jobs are cleaning up the last person's mess. :smash: The other main category is premature digital transf...

Re: SpectraLayers 10 is a life saver, for legacy projects
I'm keeping iZotope RX Advanced for now, and may upgrade to v11 in May, as I think there are still some things it does better, but my original post was primarily about the unmix feature in SpectraLayers, which in my experience blows Music Rebalance out of the water, at least in that role. The RX too...

Re: Native Access 2 is available for download
With much effort and trial and error, I finally located a problem report follow-up from NI that addresses the issue, though it still took a lot of reboots, super-user actions, terminal commands, and adjustments to the instructions. Fortunately, I have years of experience on Unix so I always had a go...

Re: Native Access 2 is available for download
Has anyone managed to get Native Access 2 to work on macOS Ventura on an Intel Mac? I can't upgrade beyond Ventura thanks to Apple's mothball policies, and I just spent almost $200 on new world instrument libraries today that are unable to install via Native Access 1, so I tried for the fourth time ...

Is this the biopic on Monkey Man that people have been talking about?

I never thought you were a fighter, MM! And to think that you took down James Bond, according to this reviewer!

How did we manage to ignore this thread for five and a half years? Oh yea, COVID. Well, maybe not, as the last post was almost two years before we entered the new topsy-turvy world.
Hmm, did the lizard people hide the thread from us? What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Re: SpectraLayers 10 is a life saver, for legacy projects
Mike, I have not found RX's music rebalance tool to do a good separation job, but it did help me rebalance, which after all is its name. SpectraLayers is the first tool I've used (of many!) that actually succeeded n letting me create usable artifact-free stems from legacy mixes. It will be interesti...

Does this subscription threat fall under the category: "The Native Instruments are Getting Restless"?

SpectraLayers 10 is a life saver, for legacy projects
I finally started playing with SpectraLayers 10 last night, a couple of months after buying it, and it blows iZotope RX out of the water when it comes to unmixing legacy tracks. Almost no artifacts afterwards, and it doesn't even have parameters like RX, for most of the tasks! A few more choices for...

Re: Softube Central continually not finding licenses
Yeah, it can give a few scares at startup, but I think mostly it's slow and takes a few iterations to settle down.
