Don’t you have a warranty ?
You should give the unit back to motu.
There’s too much issues like that and they don’t help sufficiently.
You shouldn’t have to stand these issues…

Re: Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
@jess77 thanks a lot for your feedback. I'll also install the latest driver at the end of the month, after the gigs I've got this month (I can't risk anything now). I'll report also if everything runs fine. Just for memory : I'm now running Sonoma and the driver 93305 on my M1 pro. It works fine onl...

Re: Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
Please Mike, re-read the thread and follow the links provided. Since the release of the Ultralite mk5, there have been a lot of reviews of such issues (clicks and pops, glitches, random delays) and they were not fixed with proper installation. Personnaly, I did spend more than one year exchanging em...

Re: Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
A guy from gearspace oriented me to this video from RME, explaining why the drivers from many manufacturer had issues recently on recent MacOs systems (since the switch to new security processes, I think since Catalina ?), and why Sonoma could have introduced some fix with these issues... https://ww...

Re: Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
mmm. I don't think you can associate the various issues people had with the Motu interfaces recently (on both Mac and Windows by the way) to a simple installation issue. To install drivers is a pretty basic procedure, and I guess most of us are following what MOTU is recommending (I did, at least). ...

Re: Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
thanks for the feedback vitcomusic... By the way : I don't recommend upgrading to Sonoma. Actually it worked on my side, but the more I'm into informatics, the more I think it's alive and impossible to predict. So it may work... or not... I'd be glad some people I mentionned participate to this thre...

Ultralite mk5 digital issues and MacOs Sonoma
Hi there I'd like to know how much of you using the Ultralite mk5 on an Apple Silicon laptop have issues on MacOs Sonoma now. Since I started to use my Ultralite mk5 on my M1 pro, around 2 years ago (at the time my MBP was running Monterey), I had various issues that were depending on the drivers an...

Re: Ongoing Ultralite mk 5 issues digital noise on M1max
… By the way, the drivers 93305 fixed my issue. So I guess the issues were coming from MOTU software. I don't think I will ever update again any MOTU drivers (especially when I read new issues with latest drivers on this forum). 93305 is the latest driver for the UltraLite mk5. Unlike most of MOTU'...

Re: Anyone try headphone for adat mk5
I'm answering very late to your question, and I'm not sure if I understood your question, but the headphones output is a separate output indeed : you can use it as a replica of the master, or you can route to it the USB channels 11-12 from your DAW... If I'm not wrong, SPDIF is 13-14 ADAT is 15-16-1...

Re: Is the spdif out of the Ulmk5 a separate output ?
By the way, IF the spdif is a separate output, what channel is it in a DAW ?
11-12 ?
Or something else ?

Is the spdif out of the Ulmk5 a separate output ?
Hi there I've got a basic question, but as I don't have any way to test it I'm not sure of the answer. Is the spdif out of the Ultralite mk5 audio device a separate output, so I can physically output 11 different channels from the device instead of only 10 ? Or differently said, can I set 11 channel...

Re: My painful journey with Ultralite mk5
Since I bought it 2 years ago I had many and various issues on my ultralite mk5 (on a M1 Pro MBP). So far I'm running the drivers 93305 and everything is fine. It may not be the same for you, but the best you could do is to try different drivers and see if it works. When you find one that works, NEV...

Re: UltraLite MK5: Latest Update Causes Delayed Recognition (and Lost Connection)?
Hi jduber I didn't install the latest driver, but my experience with this unit on a M1 Pro laptop was not that great. Actually, the only driver I don't have problems with is the 93305 (still installed on my Mac, and reading you I don't want to update). Maybe try to install a previous driver. My expe...

Re: Ongoing Ultralite mk 5 issues digital noise on M1max
Ever since I sent the MOTU audio driver to the trash, my Ultralite Mk 5 has been working beautifully in class compliant mode (Mac Studio Ultra/Monterey). I'm leaving it alone. Dan V. Yep, I know that, but running the unit class compliant means much higher latency and not any DSP and routing possibi...
