Re: Number of AVB output channels on an UltraLite AVB?
3 streams of AVB in and out should translate to a total of 24 channels in and out (8 ins and outs per stream), I believe.

Re: Motu 624 and/or 828ES TB cable
I was able to solve the problem of the thunderbolt cable ( 3 meters) with help from Motu tech support. I hadn’t updated the driver for the interfaces to the latest one. Once I did that, and then gave permission to Motu in settings/privacy, the interface is showing up with tb connection. So the 3 met...

Motu 624 and/or 828ES TB cable RESOLVED
Hi, I’m daisy chaining several Motu hardware devices using a Motu AVB switch and the 624, 828ES, and 8D. They show up in the Motu Control app if I Connect the AVB switch to my new Mac Studio via Ethernet. However, the hardware connection from either the 828 or 624 via Thunderbolt isn’t recognized. I...

Re: Audio export or bounce, any difference?
Thanks Mike. I wouldn’t think there would be any difference except the export is instantaneous, while the bounce does take a bit of time. There are no plugins involved in this example.

Audio export or bounce, any difference?
Hi, This may be a silly question, but I wondered whether there is any difference in the resulting sound quality of a given stereo file if I bounce it to disk or export it. For example, I’m using DP10, project file is 24 bit 48 K, interleaved stereo. I’ve got a mix of a sequence and want to use it ou...

Re: Pitch correction
Thank you, I’ll look at that. I messed with zoom and view, and that did seem to do the trick.

Pitch correction
Hi,
When using the sequence editor and choosing pitch, I sometimes get the rectangles with the lines, which allow for editing in absolute pitch mode. However, there are times where I can’t get the rectangles to appear. I can’t seem to figure this out. Any help would be welcome!

Re: Doubling of sound when comping
When it’s happened for me, it’s only the track itself (meaning whatever is currently selected for comping) (generally called comp1). But somehow there is a feedback loop via solo that’s in effect doubling the sound.

Re: Doubling of sound when comping
For anyone interested, I’ve recreated this “doubling” of the audio when using the comp tool. It only happens when I’m using the solo function as I comp. For example: I’m comping a vocal part, and I just want to hear the vocal and say piano and bass rather than a fuller rhythm section. With solo enab...

Re: Doubling of sound when comping
As an addendum to my last post: I comped using the command “show takes”, at which time I heard the doubling. As soon as I finished the comping by using the command “hide takes” the doubling disappeared.I’m not sure if you are both familiar with the comp tool, but only one take plays at a time. I do ...

Re: Doubling of sound when comping
Hi guys, I wasn’t recording. I was using DP10’s comp tool to select the best takes on previously recorded tracks. Eg: I had 6 takes of a vocal part already recorded, and was used the “show takes” command, and then used the comp tool to slice and dice the best parts of all the takes. So unless I’m mi...

Re: Doubling of sound when comping
Hi Greg, Thanks for your feedback (excuse the pun). I don’t think that was happening because after I finished comping the doubling was gone, with no changes to my monitoring setup. I believe that it may be a glitch in DP. I was soloing the comp tracks (I had 2 tracks that I was comping simultaneousl...
