Re: Suggestions for next DP update

I just wanted to kind of officially warn the motu corp that I won't use DP unless they implement normal object-oriented editing because automation with all those lines is very frustrating. Also object editing is like having numerous tracks within a track. If you have 10 clips on a track and you want...

Re: Suggestions for next DP update

I was kind of shocked to find out that dp has no object editing ability like samplitude or sequoia have. Without object editor dp seems to stuck in early 2000s. Amazing. Of course trolls will suggest your creating additional tracks to remedy that lackage. Amazing.

Re: Two Questions...

Besides superior drummer crossbleed is implemented in drumgizmo free drumkits. I recommend them over any commercial ones because they really sound raw and unprocessed while all commercial ones are preequalized whatever their producers claim and it means you don't have much possibilities to get the r...

Re: Two Questions...

I normally use sequoia and not very experienced with dp. I will ignore any trolls' posts to put it short. As for the rest requests for clarification DP has non-standard way of rooting in my opinion. For example in sequoia you do not create buses in a separate window. You only create tracks as audio ...

Re: Two Questions...

Blue fader bars? I've never seen them. I'm not sure about what you mean. Please clarify.
Open mixer and you will see blue or other depending on your skin strip which sets fader position in the inserts chain.

Re: Two Questions...

By the way using audio tracks instead of buses is totally silly and misleading. I have figured out why that guy used all tracks as aux buses. He did it to have POSSIBILITY to do ducking via side-chain compressing. Ducking is another important feature of emulating analog studio. So you just MUST crea...

Re: Two Questions...

What do VE and VI stand for? I have met several posts in forums where people try emulating mic crossfeed\bleed\crosstalk. The simplest way I go with is creating aux bus and sending aux sends to them from all tracks of the song in pre or post mode. I think pre is better coz it saves latency. I put pl...

Re: Building a computer for DP

I recommend buying a used hp xw6600. It's the cheapest variant, you get 8 cores and can have up to 64 gigs of ram! Don't buy desktops. Ram on ebay is also super cheap for it and performance will outperform top desktops or will be at least on par. Also you can buy antinoise 4-pin adapters for making ...
