Re: iZotope's Website

Anyway... this is why I never, ever delete emails that show I paid for a plugin. I AM sorry didn't go so well for you. : Not only do I archive all of those emails but I use the export as pdf feature to save a copy in a sub folder that I create for every plug-in manufacturer in a special Installers ...

Re: iLok server down! (and East West Opus vulnerabilty?)

Again?!?!?

The iLok server was down when I tried to install my copy of RX 11 Advanced twelve days ago. That really messed me up for a day.

Re: iZotope's Website

Let me right in.

I had trouble with a few sites yesterday. No trouble with any of them today.

Re: Digital Performer

Yes but you may have to reinstall the latest version when your done. In addition, To delete the VI caches, open the following folder; /Users/(account name)/Library/Preferences/ com.motu.MotuAudioSystem / Delete these files (you may not have all of them): Audio Unit Info Cache 64-bit, VST3 Info Cache...

Re: iZotope RX 11 is out

My overall impression of SL10 vs. RX10 is that the latter does a good job of rebalancing the elements of a mix (with your intervention, of course) whereas the former does an amazing job of producing fairly artifact-free stems. I am frequently handed tracks with regrets, and I only hope that the mir...

Re: APU Loudness Compressor Plugin... this looks kinda cool!

… Hmmmm... yeah... I can't tell if you're upset about that? Is the Optimizer useful as a standalone app? Yeah... well this guy is not always thorough obviously. I wonder if it's mentioned on the developer's site that Optimizer is not available as a plugin? Interesting about only AU and VST3. I see ...

Re: We need a project load dialog

It's been so long that I've noticed the spinning ball that I quite forgot we still get it. So I loaded a recent project and yep, still there and still spinning.

Re: APU Loudness Compressor Plugin... this looks kinda cool!

Yeah... this guy has a tendency to just dive in and review plugins that he really hasn't spent much time with. As a result, he sometimes misses features or how to use a particular feature. Something about this plug caught my eye. I haven't uploaded any new music to any of the services in a while, b...

Re: APU Loudness Compressor Plugin... this looks kinda cool!

I dislike his delivery — really, he should use his own "look-ahead" function and preview the app so that he gets more info out in less time. That said, there are a number of plugs that have this functionality. What this APU version does is bring a unique interface to the table. I like it a...

Re: Behringer 369 - Vintage Stereo Compressor Limiter

I bought some lightweight PA components for use at a gig a year and a half ago. Sound good? No. I haven't a clue how many of those "500 Peak Watts" are real but if it were 2 x 35W RMS @ 8Ω, I'd be surprised. Adequate for the gig and light enough that I could carry each piece? Yes. The room...

Re: The Upright from MusicalSampling $69 till June 18.

… Thanks for the link. In one of the demos, I was hearing quite a bit of smallish room in the sound. Are the samples fairly dry? Or were they recorded in a smallish room? I suppose that's one advantage to close-micing is that you don't hear the walls as much. … Based on the first demo, I never woul...

Re: Behringer 369 - Vintage Stereo Compressor Limiter

Not sure what's going on, but when I opened that image in a separate tab, one of the knobs on the image came off, and I could swear I saw smoke coming out from behind. I had to wiggle the jack to get sound out of the right channel. As soon as I closed the tab, everything was ok again. :) I o...

Re: Acasis drive enclosure sale

Had never heard of https://www.acasis.com/. Thank you for that lead! Are they driverless, and do they have a solid multi nvme unit? External drives do not require drivers. They do show a couple of multi-NVMe units but are out of stock and promising new redesigned units. The issue with multiple blad...
