For folks attending NAMM 2017...
For anyone going to the NAMM show down in Anaheim later this week, I will be giving two presentations at the MOTU booth on Saturday, Jan 21st at 12:45pm and 3:45pm. I will show how I use Digital Performer to score films and go through an example of how I have set up my scoring template, how I spot a...

Re: AAF Export
I believe this is a PT bug. I have discovered it as well. PT also does the same thing when importing Interleaved AAFs from other programs as well I have found. The only way, of all the ways I have tried (and I believe I have tried all the ways) is to deinterleave the files to .L/.R and then recombin...

Re: DP 9.1 is here
A report on the Digital performer Facebook group says that VEPro6 gave an error when opening in DP 9.1 stating to disable VST versions of the plug and use MAS instead...and, then on subsequent opening, could not open any VEPro6 instances in DP 9.1. I personally have not tried it yet as I am waiting ...

Re: DP 9.1 is here
Anyone rush over and get the new VEPRo6 that was just released today and see if their slowdowns and glitches with a large template along with VEPro5 is improved at all? I have one more cue to write here today and will probably chug through 9.1 to just get it done...spinning beach balls and all. But ...

Re: DP 9.1 is here
Just wanted to add my 9.1 experience here. Upgraded from 9.02 and I was immediately seeing lots of audio glitches and waveform dropouts on audio coming from VEPro 5 while the transport was playing (and I was inputting MIDI)...or while the transport was recording already input MIDI. If I were to play...

Re: 'Low Latency Mode' in DP?
Also remember in the next version 9.1...audio engine latency is reduced by half with no CPU hit to accomplish that. So...a 256 buffer will respond like the current 128 buffer...but have the CPU meter like the current 256 buffer reads.

Re: New Metagrid for iOS control of DAW....do me a favor
My only problem with an iPad solution is that your eyes have to leave your targeted work every time you use the commands. Unlike other hardware, the iPad gives you no landmarks. You have to locate each control, every single time you make a move. But I'll buy this just to be supportive. Who knows? M...

New Metagrid for iOS control of DAW....do me a favor
Thank you everyone. I think we have some success here. They reached out to me after my initial email and asked if I would be willing to help give input. I also got them in contact with the MOTU folks directly. This may be a great "Lemur alternative" that is easier to set up once they have ...

New Metagrid for iOS control of DAW....do me a favor
Hey folks....there is a new iOS app from the guys at Arts | Unmuted that use to create setups for Lemur for folks to easily control their DAW software. They are now starting a new company for a new app called Metagrid that looks amazing. http://metasystem.io . Here is the kicker. They natively suppo...

Re: Does DP9 use the graphic coprocessor for number crunchin
DP does tap into the graphics processor but NOT for audio processing. It is farming out its video engine to the GPU.

Re: Moving DP to new Mac
If you clone the drive, reinstall the Apple OS. Cloning does not install the repair partition, one of the many reasons that Apple never recommends it. Carbon Copy Cloner will make/copy over the recovery partition on a clone of the OSX if you tell it to. It recognizes you are making a boot drive clo...
