Re: Any way to nudge a note by time instead of beat?

The reason for this is the use of Viper which triggers streamers and punches without requiring a movie to be imported (slight advantage over the native streamers). However, the time it takes to manually line up these so that the punch happens at the downbeat is more than tedious. There are other rea...

Any way to nudge a note by time instead of beat?

Hi all,
In Cubase I can nudge by 1 second but don’t see a way to do this in DP. Is it possible?

Displaying bars/beats in movie window possible?

I did some searching and didn't come up with the answer nor in the manual. I have DP11, was able to add streamers, but is there also a way to add bars/beats to the display? The reason is for live use when I want to set up a large display for the other musicians. The streamers will be for their cues ...

Presonus 24R AVB into a 828ES

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has run into this. I am running a 24R from Presonus into the MOTU AVB switch and into the 828ES. This works perfectly at 44.1 but the problem is when I switch everything to 48k the audio vanishes and from what I can tell the MOTU is struggling to lock onto the clock. ...

Who's using DP Live?

Hi all, I've been using DP for live use on and off for some time but have been out the scene and in the studio for too long (other than a once a year gig). Now that I am actively back doing some shows I decided to take a look at Ableton 9 for backing tracks. I use Live8 on another Mac for simple vid...

FCB1010 for transport control (Play/Stop)..not working

Hi All, I am trying to get the FCB1010 to assign one of the switches to be the Play/Stop command for DP. This is what I do: 1) I go to commands 2) bring up the Play/Stop 3) click on the MIDI assignment 4) push the desired switch on the FCB1010 which DP recognizes and records 5) close the commands wi...

Re: This close to just upgrading and coming back to DP

Thanks guys. It is hard having been so used to Logic. I do wish there was a way to make the points that represent note on velocity bigger as they are bloody hard to see!
Oddly I don't remember it being that tiny. :)

Re: This close to just upgrading and coming back to DP

Thanks Dave! Well so far there are things I am trying to find in the manual as I go. One is compressing velocity by just holding a modifier key...well compressing CC data too. I think I found it but it also lets me expand/compress the notes too which isn't what I want to do. We'll see how it goes. C...

This close to just upgrading and coming back to DP

Former DP user...current LPX user...still have my DP7 and here's my situation. I've sang this tune before but my beloved Logic X, which I run in Mavericks on a new Mac is so buggy that the score I am working on (professionally) is taking much longer than it should. Stuttering video (terrible) and fr...

Haven't touched DP since 5, 7.1 first impressions

Hi all. I haven't used DP in some time (other than a couple live shows) so I finally broke down and purchased the DP7 upgrade. My experiences so far: The look to me is a good improvement so points there. Crashing a lot. It seems it doesn't like to change buffers if a project is loaded. PLAY VI is al...

Re: Digital Performer 7.1 update now available

Well it is time for me to finally upgrade from 5. I've been heavy on Logic and have recently been testing Cubase5 against it. I love both and am still looking for the best combination of the two. I haven't run DP in a couple years now and it looks like 7.1 is finally adding some of the things I've b...

Re: Ethno Does[n't] Work - [RESOLVED]

I would like to know how because I moved the location of the data sounds and now I have these errors. I thought there was a way to tell Ethno where the folder was
but can't remember how to do it and so far my manual is M.I.A.
