Re: Clean Power for Live?
Did you try a simple AC Ground Lifter? I suspect the issue might be ground loop between your keyboard and your monitor speaker, which I assume is self-powered and also plugged into AC.

labsplus50 One-TIme, 50% off anything at https://www.spitfireaudio.com Unfortunately their new fancy reverb plug is excluded. :( James, you have Altiverb, Lexicon, and how many other reverbs? Altiverb does the positioning trick and so many other things, too. For my sake, I am glad the reverb is exc...

Re: System Audio Recorder
Routing Main L and R back to Computer Mix L and Mix R (which are really To Computer 21 and 22) allows recording of any audio the Mac is playing. I'm not understanding it. What exactly is Main L and R and how does system audio get there. Your friendly neighborhood Phil Good question. Its been so lon...

Re: System Audio Recorder
When I play back stuff from the web, it routes right into DP. I can record directly in DP without an analog connection by simply recording from the main stereo output. It has been years since I set this up; I'd have to review the 828ES matrix and my DP setup to recall how. Just know: it can be done...

Re: Hard drive replacement
Can you please tell me if it is possible to change the hard drive on macbook M1 2020? If it is possible, can I do it myself or is it better to do it through a service? It's just that my laptop doesn't even have a cooler and it's tightly sealed, so I'm scared to take it apart. It is not a DIY job un...

Glad you got it sorted.
Let me just add that naming the inputs and outputs on the Matrix page makes life better. The names auto-populate in the AVB Mixer and in Digital Performer.

Re: Logic Pro 11 coming May 13
...my 2010 iMac would take 3–5 days to render that file. Oh... I bought my first 14 core iMac Pro a few months later and it changed my life—and rendering the file again took 20 minutes (15min on my later 18 core and 4min on my current M2 Studio ). Love that M2 time! It's worth noting that the Apple...

EMRR knows!
The cool thing is that BOTH devices will be available in the master (connected to computer) device's AVB Mixer and Routing pages... so you set up the routing from the master and you will see all the inputs from both devices in your DAW and mix from a single AVB Mixer page in your browser.

Interesting.mikehalloran wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2024 9:21 am There is firmware in the Apple TB2–TB3 adapter. A few websites are recommending that the adapter be plugged into a TB3/4 port during a macOS update so that the adapter firmware updates as well.

Newer TVs may auto-select 4:4:4 when connected to a computer (or so I've read somewhere), but the details are NOT easy to find!

Re: Go Big or Go Home?
I wonder if there are some critical parameters that have to be satisfied. The other key (for response) is to be sure the monitor is running @ 60HZ, not 30. Also, as Tremo notes, native 4k resolution is optimal. You can scale DP itself if necessary. It is also desirable to set Chroma to 4:4:4 when u...
